Mark messages as read or unread

Mark as unread

1. Open Gmail.
2. Open the message. (If you want to stay in your inbox, check the box next to the message).
3. At the top, click More Mark as unread.

Mark as read

1. Open Gmail.
2. Check the boxes next to the messages you want to mark.
3. At the top, click More Mark as read.

Mark all messages as read

1. Open Gmail.
2. In the top left, click the Down arrow All.
3. At the top, click More Mark as read.
